How to Manage DDoS Mitigation Rules

Protecting your server from malicious traffic is a priority at Curt Creation. You can easily apply specific filter presets to your authorized IP addresses through our dedicated Layer Portal.

Step 1: Access the Layer Portal

  1. Log in to the Curt Creation Client Area.

  2. Navigate to your server's View Details page.

  3. Scroll to the Manage section and click the gray OPEN LAYER PORTAL button.

  4. Click Sign in with Curt Creation Client Portal to be automatically authenticated.

Step 2: Navigate to Mitigation Rules

  1. Once in the Layer Portal Dashboard, look at the left-hand sidebar menu.

  2. Click on the DDoS Protection dropdown.

  3. Select Mitigation Rules.

Step 3: Add a New Mitigation Filter

  1. On the Mitigation Rules page, click the green + Add Filter button in the top right corner.

  2. Choose IP: Select the IP address associated with your VDS from the dropdown menu.

  3. Preset: Scroll through or search the list to find the right protection preset for your application (e.g., txAdmin, FiveM TCP, or Ratelimit TCP High).

  4. Port Options: * Toggle between Single or Range. Enter the specific port number you wish to protect (e.g., 443 for web or 30120 for FiveM).

  5. Click the blue Add Filter button to apply the rule.


Managing Active Filters

You can view all active filters under the Current Filters table. This section provides a summary of:

  • IP Address: The protected endpoint.

  • Protocol: (e.g., TCP or UDP).

  • Port: The specific port the filter is monitoring.

  • Actions: If you no longer need a rule, you can click the red Remove button to delete it instantly.
