Setting Up a Fast Database
To power your high-performance applications with dedicated resources, you can set up a Fast Database instance through the Layer Portal. This provides an isolated MySQL environment optimized for both security and speed.
Step 1: Access the Fast Database Menu
Log in to the Layer Portal.
On the left-hand sidebar, click the FiveM dropdown menu.
Select Fast Database from the options.
Step 2: Initialize Database Creation
On the Fast Database overview page, click the green + Create Database button in the top right corner.
A Create New Database window will appear.
Step 3: Configure Database Identity
Database Name: Enter a unique name for your instance.
Naming Requirements: Ensure your name follows these rules to avoid errors:
Use only lowercase letters, numbers, and underscores (
_).Do not use spaces, special characters, or capital letters.
Click the blue Create button. The status will change to "Creating..." while the system provisions your dedicated resources.
Step 4: Retrieve Connection Credentials
Once the process is finished, your new database will appear in the Your Databases list with an Active status.
Locate your credentials in the table:
Database IP: The internal or external address used for connection.
Database Name & Username: Typically generated based on your input (e.g.,
52_test).Database Password: Click the Eye icon to reveal your secure password or the Copy icon to save it to your clipboard.
